I am really excited about this post because I have finally got all my plugins working. I will be doing this same format for Pedalfest 2009. You will notice the video of course, but under the video is a map. In this map my GPS coordinates are logged and plotted on the map, hold on it gets better. Notice in the map you see little thumbnails pictures. These are picture that I have embedded my GPS coordinates into during the time the picture was taken. You can click on them in the map to see the actual picture taken by me at that very location on the map. Notice my picture of the New Arena, it is funny that it doesn’t even show up on Google Maps yet.
I also will be placing a live link here on the site and making available my real time location during the ride. It will be a link to another page supplying my real time share location. I will explain more of that soon. Yes notice the end of the video and the last picture on the map, I had a cloud bust on me
ENJOY !!

Here is one of the many routes I take to work. Enjoy the video, as far as the music I had my daughters on my mind a bit when making the video I presume.

Here is a Google Doc of the stats, in the future I’m not sure I’ll embed it may just put a link to those wanting to see.
Tonight was awesome ride for me I finally got to try out a few new things I had been desperately wanting to do. First and foremost it was a beautiful day to ride. Got to try out my new Vittoria Tires which did not disappoint what so ever. Riding on them was very nice they felt to have very little resistance.
A friend of mine at work was helping me with a rigid camera mount for my VholdR, by helping I mean he made it for me hehe. This worked beautifully and the video will follow in this post. I also finally got a phone that had a built in GPS receiver, and I was finally able to GPS track and plot my ride. I probably am not the first person to do this but I thought it kicked ass. In the future I promise not to do any doubling back as following my course can be a bit confusing. I set it to record with a tolerance of 100 feet but I believe it to have recorded under 50. Due to the times at which the data is sent/recorded it may appear I cut a few yards or corners. This is not the case, what can you expect for free. I love this app and gladly tell you to visit www.instamapper.com to try it for your self. I believe they support Android OS (I run) Blackberry and Iphone? Plotted Map below And video below that
Next year I would love to do BAK (Biking Across Kansas) and open my tracking for people to follow my progress in real time as instamapper.com supports it. Then I can update the blog every night and embed my maps with our actual route ridden. Man I’m getting all excited over the possibilities lol. What can I say I love my gadgets.
In the future expect me to have a more planned attack when I record these videos, I want to document all the bike paths in Wichita plus my commutes. Hope you enjoy it.
